Real Madrid‘s dream transfer target for the past couple of years has been PSG’s Kylian Mbappe. It’s still unclear if he will even be available this summer, because he could choose to re-sign with the Ligue 1 club and commit to a future in his home city. But to this point, Mbappe has not put pen to paper, even though the offer has been on the table dating back to last season.
So there is hope Real Madrid can sign Mbappe, even if the hope is extremely slim. Real do not have much money to spend in this pandemic, and Mbappe will be incredibly expensive. Realistically, Mbappe is out of their price range. But he is not impossible.
What could help Los Blancos acquire Mbappe is a trade. It’s plausible Real Madrid could send PSG a package deal involving an important player of their own to PSG, which would offset the cost of signing the most valuable footballer in the world.
There are several players on the PSG wishlist who will be off limits, but there are a couple of players who could become expendable if Mbappe were to join Real or who could be moved for logistical reasons.
Let’s take a look at three possible trades that could happen in order for Florentino Perez to sign his ultimate Galactico in the summer. But I must make this abundantly clear: it is very, very unlikely any of these trades will take place. They are just ideas that fall within some bound of reason.
